90 judges from Ukraine will receive training in the UK.

This was reported by the BBC News | Russian Service Telegram channel.

UK Attorney-General Victoria Prentice believes that this will help the Ukrainian courts to prosecute the Russian military for crimes committed.

The training of Ukrainian judges is reportedly led by Sir Howard Morrison, a British judge who worked on the international criminal tribunals for Yugoslavia and Rwanda.

It is expected that the overwhelming majority of trials of war crimes committed during the Russian aggression will be carried out in Ukraine by Ukrainian judges," the article said.

To date, 14 occupiers have been convicted in such cases in Ukraine. In total, over 43,000 war crimes have already been recorded during the war. In other words, so far the bulk of war criminals remain unpunished.

The Ukrainian authorities are trying to enlist international support for the establishment of a special international tribunal to prosecute the Russian officials who unleashed and supported the war against our country.

I am sure that the international community will want to see the moment when justice is done, and to see it visually. We do not know yet what form this will take. All possible options are being considered," Victoria Prentice commented on the possibility of setting up a tribunal.

Howard Morrison recalls the fate of Milosevic, Karadzic and Mladic.

When I worked at the ICT [Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia], I was told Milosevic, Karadžić or Mladić would never go to trial. But we ended up convicting all three," he says.
