The Ukrainian delegation was fined for wearing T-shirts with the Free Azovstal Defenders print at Eurovision.

The organisers of the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 have fined the Ukrainian delegation for wearing T-shirts calling for the release of the Azovstal defenders. This was reported by singer alyona alyona in Instagram.

The Ukrainian contestant said that appearing in "Free Azovstal Defenders" T-shirts was a very risky and difficult task.

At the contest any inscriptions and brands were forbidden, the guards checked all clothes and if there was an inscription on them, they asked to remove it or covered the inscriptions with black scotch tape.

When the camera approached us, our team quickly opened up and showed our appeal to the world. We took a huge risk, however it all worked out. We fought back with just a financial penalty. I'm incredibly happy that we were able to remind the world about our POWs," the singer reported.

Alyona alyona and Jerry Heil took third place at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024.

Earlier it was reported that Ukrainian singer Alyona alyona fell on the stage of Eurovision 2024 during rehearsal and broke a nail.
