- Ukraine's Defence Ministry has denied media reports that Kiev allegedly "90 percent agrees"" with the US peace plan

The key issue for Ukraine remains how to make the ceasefire proposal work.
The Ukrainian Defence Ministry has denied the information that Kiev allegedly "90 per cent agreed" with Donald Trump's proposals for a peace settlement. This is reported by Sky News.
Earlier, the New York Post, citing a senior official in the administration of US President Donald Trump, said that the Ukrainian Defence Minister allegedly told US representatives that Kiev is "90%" supportive of the plan presented by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio in France.
But in a statement to Sky News, Ukraine's Defence Ministry said it "does not make political decisions" and therefore could not make any "percentage estimates".
We supported the US initiative for a full ceasefire back on 11 March. Russia, on the other hand, refused these conditions and continues to strike cities and critical infrastructure," the Defence Ministry said.
The ministry also added that it is impossible to hold a dialogue on peace initiatives and even more so to assess it "in percentages" in the conditions of continuing attacks. The key issue remains the control and effectiveness of a possible ceasefire regime.
We are conducting a constructive dialogue with the United States and remain committed to ending the war," the ministry stressed.
We shall remind you that earlier this year, with the mediation of the USA, Ukraine and Russia reached an agreement to stop attacks on energy and port infrastructure. The conditional "truce" came into force on 25 March.
However, shortly after that, Russia violated the agreements by again launching shelling of Ukrainian energy facilities.
