Ukraine asks Germany for more Leopard 2 tanks
Ukraine could also ask for 60 Marder infantry fighting vehicles.

A request for new Leopard 2 tanks was made by Ukrainian Deputy Foreign Minister Andriy Melnyk.
Amid the loss of the first tanks supplied by Western allies to fight in Ukraine, there are renewed calls in Kiev for increased support, particularly from Germany. "The Ukrainian army desperately needs a lot more Western battle tanks, infantry fighting vehicles and other armoured vehicles. Every Leopard 2 is literally worth its weight in gold for a decisive offensive.
Furthermore, Melnyk also asked to provide the Ukrainian army with "another 60 Marder infantry fighting vehicles".
Melnyk also recalled Ukraine's request to provide Taurus cruise missiles and help build a powerful Ukrainian air force.
