Summit participants in the Saudi Arabian city of Jeddah reached agreement on two issues

A summit on peace in Ukraine has begun in Saudi Arabia.
Participants of the summit in the Saudi Arabian city of Jeddah reached an agreement on two issues after the first day of consultations. This was reported by the Italian edition of Corriere della Sera.
All participants in the talks on the war in Ukraine believe that any peace agreement should be based on respect for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine and the supremacy of the UN Charter," the newspaper said.
The participants also agreed to set up working groups to discuss a plan for settling the war in Ukraine proposed by Kiev. Negotiations on the dates of the meeting of the heads of state are also under way. According to the newspaper's sources, it may take place before the end of the year.
A meeting dedicated to peace in Ukraine is being held in Saudi Arabia. It is being attended by representatives of 40 countries, including the US, Canada, China, India, Brazil, Indonesia, Egypt and Mexico.
The two-day meeting is part of Ukraine's diplomatic initiative to win the support of not only key Western partners, but also countries in the South unwilling to choose sides in the conflict.
The main goal of the meeting will be Ukraine's "peace formula".
