Turkey does not recognize Russian annexation

Artur Zayonts
The Turkish Foreign Ministry said that they believe that peace can only be achieved through negotiations.
This is stated in a statement released by the country's Foreign Ministry.
Turkey did not recognize Russia's annexation of Crimea in an illegitimate referendum held in 2014, and each time emphasized its strong support for the territorial integrity, independence and sovereignty of Ukraine. In line with this position, which we took in 2014, we reject Russia's decision to annex the Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions of Ukraine, the statement said.
In addition, the department recalled that they believe that peace can only be achieved through negotiations.
Turkey has repeatedly offered its services as an intermediary in organizing negotiations. But Russia each time denied these proposals.
