A lieutenant colonel of the National Police brigade "Lyut", Oleksandr Gostischev, was killed during a rocket attack on Odessa.



In Dnipro on 17 March, Lieutenant Colonel Oleksandr Gostischev said goodbye to the commander of the regiment "Tsunami" of the National Police brigade "Lyut". About it reports the National police.

the 41-year-old policeman died during the enemy missile attack on Odessa. He was from Dnipro, where his family and friends live, - reported in the police.

The head of the National Police Ivan Vygovsky, deputy head of the National Police Department Oleksandr Facevich, commander of the "Lyut" brigade Oleksandr Netrebko, colleagues, friends and battle brothers of the commander came to pay their last respects to their colleague and friend.

Lieutenant Colonel of Police began his combat career in 2014 as a fighter of the battalion "Dnipro-1". He became a company commander, participated in battles in Donetsk region.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, Gostischev was appointed commander of the combined police battalion of Odessa region "Tsunami". Under his command the fighters participated in defensive and offensive operations in the Kherson direction, liberated Kherson.

Alexander Gostischev participated in the liberation of the Kherson region. After de-occupation, at the entrance to Kherson, the President of Ukraine awarded the policeman with the Order of Bogdan Khmelnitsky III degree.

In 2023, the Tsunami Assault Regiment was created on the basis of the battalion and became part of the joint assault brigade of the National Police "Lyut".

Soldiers of the regiment together with units of the Ukrainian Defence Forces participated in the liberation of Kleshcheevka on the Bakhmut direction, as well as in the fighting near Mayorsk, Kurdyumivka and Bohdanivka.

on 4 March 2024, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine recorded an interview with Oleksandr Gostischev. It turned out to be the last in his life.
