Fighter pilot Andrei Tkachenko died at the frontline

During a combat mission in Donetsk region on 8 March, a fighter pilot Major Andrey Tkachenko died. This was reported by Samborsky Plast on Facebook on 10 March.

On the front died Samborsky Plast Andrey Tkachenko - major of the air forces of the AFU, - stated in the message.

Andrew was born in the family of Yuri and Lesya Tkachenko in Sambor on 10 December 1990. He joined Plast on 22 October 2002.

At the flying camp "Chota winged" Andrei took a preparatory course in paragliding and became interested in aviation.

In 2008, he became a cadet at the Ivan Kozhedub National Kharkiv University of Air Forces, where he successfully completed his studies in 2012. With the outbreak of war in 2014, he performed combat missions during the ATO and OOS.

Major Andrey Tkachenko died in the skies of Donetsk region on 8 March 2024, performing another combat mission. The funeral will be held in Ivano-Frankivsk, where the deceased lived with his family.
