Trump is preparing for Harris to be impeached

US Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump intends to amend the 25th Amendment to the Constitution, which will allow Congress to declare impeachment of Vice President Kamala Harris for allegedly "covering up the incapacity" of US President Joe Biden. This is reported by Politico.

With such an initiative Trump made during a rally in the state of Wisconsin on Saturday, 7 September.

In particular, he suggested that the Constitution should read : "If the Vice President lies or participates in a conspiracy to cover up the incapacity of the President of the United States - if you do it while covering for the President of the United States, it is grounds for immediate impeachment and removal from office."

Trump has repeatedly accused Vice President Kamala Harris, who is his rival in the current election, and the Democrat party in general of hiding Joe Biden's health status.

These accusations intensified after a debate in late June in which the US president and then likely presidential candidate looked extremely unconvincing, which ultimately led to his withdrawal from the race.

The publication reports that some Republicans in Congress have also called for the 25th Amendment to be invoked, but at the same time, notes that it would be extremely difficult to do so.

The CNN poll, which was released on 4 September, shows Kamala Harris not significantly ahead of Donald Trump in four key states, however, her lead is within or barely outside the statistical margin of error.
