The winner of the show "Everybody Dances", who had been fighting since 2022, died on the frontline


Volodymyr Rakov, a famous Ukrainian dancer, died at the front on 6 January 2025 at the age of 30.
Before that, he was a dancer with the Apache Crew ballet and also starred in music videos by artists such as Onuka, Michelle Andrade and Time and Glass. The winner of the sixth season of the show "Everybody Dances!" Volodymyr stood up for Ukraine in 2022, just after a full-scale war broke out, and mobilised into the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
His colleagues and Ukrainian showbiz stars expressed their condolences. Dancer Elena Golovan wrote on Instagram, "This world is leaving the best." Ilona Gvozdeva, a Ukrainian dancer and choreographer, commented, "I can't believe it! Bright memory." Olga Freimut, a TV presenter, also published a post in memory of Volodymyr, calling him an "Esthetician, Angel, Legend and Hero".
Vladimir was born on 24 November 1994 in Evpatoria, in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. His career path in choreography began with acrobatic rock and roll at the age of 12, and in 2013 he became the winner of the dance show "Everybody Dance!". He was also a Traum Theatre artiste in Germany and competed in the World of Dance competition, winning as a member of the Wonder Crew.
In his last mission, Rakov served with the 2nd Rifle Battalion, 24th King Daniel Independent Mechanised Brigade.
