In the US, hundreds of UFO sightings have been reported

Unidentified flying objects have become more frequent in the skies above the Earth.

The US Pentagon's Office of Anomalous Phenomena Investigation (AARO) said that there are more cases of UFO sightings in the sky. According to the agency, 291 new sightings of unidentified anomalous phenomena (UFOs) have been reported since 2019 alone. The total number of cases as of the end of April 2023 exceeded 800, writes Talker.

On the increasing number of such fixes U.S. intelligence reported at a congressional hearing.

Unidentified flying objects are often recorded in the sky by pilots, both military and civil aviation. At the same time, the Pentagon pointed out that UFOs do not pose a threat to people.

UFOs do not interfere with aviation activities and do not pose a threat to air traffic, - reported intelligence.

They pointed out that although the mere presence of UFOs in airspace poses a potential threat to flight safety, in no recorded case UFOs manoeuvred dangerously close to civilian or military aircraft, were not located on the flight path or otherwise posed a direct threat to the safety of observer aircraft.

However, experts from the Pentagon acknowledged that some reports from witnesses "do raise concerns".

These were that the UFOs observed had characteristics that could be considered potentially dangerous - such as high airspeed or unusual manoeuvrability," the Pentagon explained.

Experts noted that they by no means underestimate the potential threat from UFOs and emphasised that they are evaluating all possible ricks.

The safety of our military personnel, our bases and facilities, and protecting the security of U.S. operations on land, in the skies, at sea and in space are paramount. We take reports of intrusions into our defined space, land, sea or airspace seriously and examine each one," said Pentagon spokesman Brigadier General Pat Ryder.

The report released covers data from 31 August 2022 to 30 April 2023, as well as historical data.

Where UFO sightings are most common

According to the Pentagon report, UFOs are most often sighted in certain locations on Earth. Two of the frequent UFO sighting hotspots are in the US: one on the right coast near Florida and cities such as Miami and Atlanta, the other is located in the state of California, between San Francisco and Los Angeles. The third hot spot is in the Middle East in the triangle between the cities of Baghdad, Doha and Dubai. The fourth place where UFOs are most often spotted is in Japan. Most cases were recorded in the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

We would like to add that UFOs like to fly to Kiev, the south of Crimea and eastern Ukraine. It is there that locals most often observe unidentified flying objects.
