At about 11:20 am on August 8, as a result of shelling by Russian troops of the village of Katerinovka, Shostka district, a woman died.

The Office of the Prosecutor General has launched criminal proceedings due to the death of a civilian due to shelling by Russian troops.
It is reported that the woman was riding a bicycle. The woman received shrapnel wounds incompatible with life. As a result, a resident of the village of Katerinovka died on the spot.
Law enforcement officers and experts are working at the tragedy's scene and carrying out the necessary investigative actions.
Russian troops daily fire at the border settlements of the Sumy and Chernihiv regions. The shelling is carried out from cannon artillery and mortars.
