The poet Maxim Krivtsov "Dali" died at the front

Ukrainian poet and serviceman Maksym Kryvtsov with the call sign "Dali" has died in the war at the age of 33. This was reported by writer Lubko Deresh on 7 January.

I had the good fortune to communicate with him and conduct classes, where he was a listener, at the veteran programme "Voices of War". Very lively, witty, extremely talented man," Deresh wrote.

Maxim Krivtsov went to war as a volunteer in 2014. Then worked in the Centre of rehabilitation and readaptation of participants of ATO and OSO. After the full-scale invasion Maxim in 2022 returned to the front.

The poet the day before his death offered in Facebook to play a game with poems :

Shall we play a game? From you the number of the page and the line (top or bottom), from me a photo of this line. But let it not be a guessing game - but just to suit your mood. Because 90 per cent of the poems here are about death," he wrote.

In 2023, the publishing house "Our Format" released the poet's book "Virshi z biynitsi".

The public organisation PEN Ukraine recognised "Virshi z biynitsi" as one of the best Ukrainian books of 2023 in the category "poetry".
