Russian troops attacked Dobropillya in Donetsk region on the night of 8 March, killing at least 11 people and injuring 47 others. This was reported by the head of the Donetsk OVA Vadym Filashkin.
According to him, seven of the wounded were hospitalised in Dobropillya, three more in a more serious condition were evacuated to Dnipro. Seven of the wounded are children from 9 to 17 years old. Most of the injured have mine and shrapnel wounds.
It is indicated that some houses, which were in the epicentre of the explosion, burned almost completely. Filashkin published a photo of the aftermath of the attack.
This is the first such large-scale shelling of civilians since the beginning of the year.





The State Emergency Situations Service specified that two rescuers - Vladyslav Gostev and Vitaliy Kolyada - were killed during the strike on Dobropillya.

When he heard the first explosions, he did not hesitate to rush to the aid of the victims. But repeated shelling cut short his life, - stated in the message.
Also in Mirnograd GVA reported that as a result of Russian shelling Dobropillya killed a rescuer of the paramilitary-mountain squad Vitaly Kolyada.

Dobropillya was tentatively shelled with Iskander-M missile, Tornado-S MLRS and Geran-2 UAV.
Due to the strike on Dobropillya, law enforcers launched a war crime investigation, part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
