The General Staff announced the situation at the front

As the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in the morning report on May 6, the enemy did not take active actions in the Volyn and Polesye directions. The combat readiness of the reaction forces is being checked in the units of the armed forces of Belarus.

In the Seversk direction, no signs of the formation of an offensive grouping of the enemy were found. In the border regions of Ukraine in the territories of the Bryansk, Kursk and Belgorod regions, there is an insignificant amount of personnel, weapons and military equipment.

No active actions of the enemy were recorded in the Slobozhansky direction. Shelling of residential areas and the suburbs of Kharkov from rocket and cannon artillery continues.

It is noted that the enemy is regrouping and restoring the combat capability of units, and is carrying out aerial reconnaissance.

It is also reported that on the basis of the Kupyansk city hospital in the hospital equipped by the occupiers there are up to 300 wounded.

In the Donetsk and Tauride directions, Russian troops continue to conduct active hostilities.

In the Limansky direction, the enemy is shelling the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In the Popasnyansky direction, he concentrated his main efforts on establishing full control over Popasna and resuming the offensive on Liman and Seversk.

In Mariupol, the blocking of units of the Defense Forces in the Azovstal area continues. In some areas, with the support of aviation, the enemy resumed assault operations in order to take control of the territory of the plant.

In the Severodonetsk, Avdeevsky, Kurakhovsky, Novopavlovsky and Zaporozhye directions, the Russian army did not conduct active hostilities. Shelling is carried out in order to constrain the actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and destroy artillery units.

In the Yuzhnobuzhsky direction, the enemy did not conduct active hostilities: he held the occupied lines and fired at the positions of the Ukrainian troops, as well as settlements in the north of the Kherson and Nikolaev regions, which he had previously abandoned.

Over the previous day, the Armed Forces of Ukraine hit 15 air targets: fourteen unmanned aerial vehicles of the Orlan type and one aircraft.

On the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions over the past day, 11 enemy attacks were repulsed. Eight tanks, 11 armored vehicles and five vehicles of the enemy were destroyed.
