The European Commission President made a number of statements during her meeting with Zelensky

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has announced the main points regarding peace talks with Russia.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has outlined three key areas of EU support for Ukraine. She voiced them at a joint press conference of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
In particular, Ursula von der Leyen said during her speech that Europe would continue to actively work on strengthening the Ukrainian defence potential, paying special attention to the development of the sphere of drones and stressed that Ukraine should not face any restrictions in matters concerning the armed forces. According to her, European countries are confident that they can meet Kiev's defence needs in order to maximise the military industry.
I am talking in particular about drones. This is our common interest, and in the coming weeks I am going to visit the states that are on the front line," von der Leyen said.
In addition, the head of the European Commission said that it remained an important task to support Ukraine on its way to the European Union, as the very process of European integration is a guarantee of security.
She also emphasised Europe's unchanged position on Ukraine's territorial integrity: "International borders cannot be changed by force. Decisions on these issues must be taken by Ukraine and only by Ukraine. And they cannot be taken without the participation of Ukraine itself at the negotiating table."
Von der Leyen concluded her speech by saying that Europe will continue to pressure Russia diplomatically and economically as long as the war in Ukraine continues.
We will strengthen sanctions. We have already adopted 18 packages and are now preparing the 19th one," she added.
Note that today, 17 August, Zelensky arrived in Brussels for a meeting of the "coalition of the resolute". After that, he will travel with European leaders to the United States. There, on 18 August, he will meet with the US president in Washington. According to him, he is going to discuss with Trump "all the details about the end of the killings, the end of the war".
Ursula von der Leyen, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Italian Prime Minister Giorgio Meloni, Finnish President Alexander Stubb, French President Emmanuel Macron and the British Prime Minister will also join the White House meeting.
