The EU may adopt a new package of sanctions against the Kremlin in the near future

The seventh round of EU sanctions against Russia for its invasion of Ukraine will be formed in the coming weeks, sources familiar with the matter tell the agency.
The new package of sanctions may include restrictions on the import of gold from Russia, the closing of ways to bypass previously imposed sanctions, and the expansion of sanctions lists against individuals and legal entities.
Bloomberg sources say that the discussion of mechanisms for limiting oil prices continues, but it should not be expected in the near future. Most EU countries also do not want to increase sanctions pressure on gas supplies from Russia.
