The assets of 90 people are currently frozen in seven states.

EU Justice Commissioner Didier Reynders spoke about this in an interview, MSN reports . He said:

Currently, the assets of 90 people are frozen, more than 17 billion euros in seven states, including 2.2 billion euros in Germany.

He allowed their use for the restoration of Ukraine.

If this is criminal money confiscated by the EU, it can be transferred to a compensation fund for Ukraine,” the European Commissioner said.

In the summer, the European Commissioner reported that EU members had frozen real estate, accounts and other Russian assets worth about 13.8 billion euros.

However, he noted that these funds alone would not be enough to finance the restoration of Ukraine.
