The border guard lost his arm and continued fighting for another 4 hours

Ukrainian fighter Anatoliy Tkachenko lost his arm during the fight and continued to fight for another four hours. This is reported by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

Border guard Anatoliy Tkachenko is one of the defenders of Mariupol. During the fighting with the Russian occupants, he was wounded and lost his left arm. But he continued to fulfil the combat task for another 4 hours until the evacuation.

The warrior was captured in May 2022 and stayed there until early 2024.

In captivity we were engaged in various jobs, personally I made coffins and rejoiced at the understanding that the occupants would suffer losses, - said Anatoly Tkachenko.
