The body of a 15-year-old girl, wounded near Kiev, who had been searched for almost two years, was in the morgue of Belarusian Mozyr.

Aryna Yatsyuk, a 15-year-old Ukrainian girl who disappeared in Kiev Region during the Russian invasion, was found dead. The girl's body was in the morgue of the city of Mozyr in Belarus for almost two years. About it reports Obozrevatel.

The Yatsyuk family tried to leave the danger zone and drive to safety, but their car was shot by the Russian military on the Zhytomyr motorway.

Valeria was left alone until she found her father's car. Arina was wounded and was by his side, but the Russian military soon took them away. Valeria was taken to the village of Kopylov and given to unfamiliar residents, while Arina was taken ostensibly for treatment in Belarus.

Arina's relatives continued to search for her, applying to various organisations and embassies. They wrote many requests to Belarus, but the answer was negative.

on 6 April 2022, after the liberation of the Kiev region, the girls' parents were buried in Uman. Arina continued to be searched for. The relatives gave adverts in social networks.

Denis's brother Uladzimir and his wife Oksana submitted requests to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus. They received a reply that there was no such girl in Belarus. The relatives contacted the Ukrainian embassy in this country, the Red Cross. But there was no information about Arina.

The girl's body was transferred to Ukraine on exchange and was eventually identified by DNA.

All this time, the granddaughter's body was lying in Mozyr. There was data on what her name was. But nobody told us anything, they were hiding everything. She probably died on the same day, 3 March. If she had been treated at once, if her leg had been bandaged, maybe she would still be alive. Her body was exchanged, she was identified by DNA. That's it, she's gone," says grandfather Valentin Ivanovich.

Arina was buried in Uman next to her mum and dad. Only her younger sister Valeria, who miraculously managed to survive the Russian bullets, survived. Now she is in Poland together with her uncle Vladimir, the brother of the deceased Denis and his wife Oksana.
