Syrsky told how AFU defends Bakhmut

The commander of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyy, made this statement in his Telegram.

According to Syrskyy, the Russian occupiers do not abandon their attempts to capture Bakhmut in Donetsk Region. Therefore, the best Russian units have now been thrown in that direction.

Ukrainian forces, for their part, are trying to exhaust the enemy and inflict heavy losses.

The Russians are trying to concentrate their main efforts on the Bakhmut direction. They do not abandon attempts to encircle and capture the city. Now the enemy has thrown all its best units to achieve victory. Our task is to destroy as many of the enemy as possible and create the preconditions so that we can proceed to the offensive. We have to put a point on the units that are in front of you.

The commander once again stressed that thanks to heroism and professionalism, the Ukrainian military are holding the Bakhmut fortress despite various deadlines and forecasts.
