According to the Department of Education and Science of the Odessa Regional State Administration, among the dead is a student of the 7th grade of the Academic Lyceum of Belgorod-Dnestrovsky Dmitry Rudnitsky. On August 22, the boy was supposed to turn 12 years old.
The boy's mother, Nadezhda, also died. The father of the child, Andrei Rudnitsky, is now in the hospital, doctors are fighting for his life. The couple worked in Sergeevka.

Roman Mykolaichuk, a father of three children and a member of the executive committee of the Kotsiubyn village council, also died during the enemy shelling. This information was confirmed by the chairman of the local self-government of the village Sergei Danish.

As a result of a missile strike by the Russian Federation in Sergeevka, Odessa region, the coach and president of the children's football club "Athletic" Alexander Shishkov died. The deceased was 42 years old. At the time of the shelling, Alexander was on the territory of the children's sports base along with other coaches.
It is known that in 2010 the coach sold his one-room apartment in Odessa and invested all the money in the purchase of artificial turf for the football field.

Recall that July 2 in the Odessa region was declared the Day of Mourning for those who died as a result of a Russian missile attack on the village of Sergeevka, Belgorod-Dnestrovsky district.
On the night of July 1, the invaders launched a missile attack on the resort village of Sergeevka in the Odessa region. As a result of the attack, a 9-storey residential building and recreation center buildings were destroyed.
It is known that the recreation center in Sergeevka, Odessa region, which was hit by Russian missiles on the night of July 1, belongs to the Moldovan government. There is a center for the rehabilitation of children with serious illnesses at the base.
According to the head of the OVA, Sergei Marchenko, as of the evening of July 1, 21 people were known to have died as a result of the attack. 38 people were also hospitalized, including 5 children (2 in serious condition).
Upon the fact of the attack, law enforcement officers opened criminal proceedings on violation of the laws and customs of war related to premeditated murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
