With a number of diseases, it is not advisable to wear socks to bed.



Many people wear socks at night to keep warm. Also, the coming winter will force Ukrainians to warm up. TSN writes about it.

Why is it better not to sleep in socks:

  • Sleeping in warm socks can lead to the development of infections and provoke necrosis;
  • Do not wear socks at night for those who have impaired circulation. In people with this disease, the blood supply is disturbed, due to which the protective properties of the skin of the legs are reduced. As a result, fungal infections may form and not heal for a long time;
  • You can’t sleep in warm socks for people with diabetes since blood vessels often suffer from this disease;
  • Socks squeezing the skin can affect the human nervous system and create tension and discomfort, interfering with sleep.

You can warm your feet before going to bed with a contrast shower: you should pour your feet alternately with hot and cold water.

To fall asleep quickly and comfortably, experts recommend sticking your legs out from under the covers.
