- SBU in Dnipro exposed a Russian agent who was adjusting enemy strikes on civilian objects

The attacker monitored the consequences of enemy "arrivals" along the Dnieper, and transmitted to the aggressor the locations of the affected objects and the scale of destruction
According to the investigation, the local resident was recruited by the leader of the pro-Russian radical public organisation SERB to collect and transfer military information to representatives of the Russian security services, the SBU press service said.
To disguise his intelligence and subversive activities, he used his status as a co-founder of a local public organisation that was engaged in volunteer work.

Following the assignment of his Russian handler, the suspect collected data on the location and movement of units and military equipment of the AFU, the National Guard of Ukraine, locations of air defence systems, bridges, railway junctions, and the airport in Dnipro city and the region.
To gather intelligence, he observed the movement of AFU echelons from the office of a public organisation, which was located near a railway junction.
The agent also recorded the consequences of missile strikes on the airport, a hospital in Dnipro, a residential building in Podgorodnoye and the building of the SBU Department. At the same time, he marked the exact locations of the hits on Google maps. He sent the information he received to the enemy in the form of text messages and photo and video files via Telegram.

In addition, the defendant used his acquaintances "in disguise" and asked them for information about the Ukrainian defenders under false pretences.
The occupants used the information obtained to prepare new and adjust repeated air attacks on the regional centre.
During the search at his place of residence, mobile phones with evidence of correspondence with the leader of the pro-Russian organisation "SERB" were seized from the man. Now he has been elected a measure of restraint in the form of detention without the right to bail.
The detainee is suspected under part 2 of article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law).
He faces life imprisonment.
