Since the beginning of the full-scale war, the SBU has destroyed more than 1,000 Russian tanks. Some of the armoured vehicles were destroyed together with their crews.

Since the beginning of the Russian Federation's full-scale invasion, the SBU has eliminated 1,006 Russian tanks. This was reported by the SBU on 17 June.

It is noted that the largest number of the enemy's armoured vehicles was destroyed during the brutal fighting in Donetsk and Kharkiv regions.

Using heavy armoured vehicles, the aggressor often tried to break through the positions of Ukrainian defenders and provide cover for the occupiers' assault groups.

In addition, the enemy regularly engaged tank formations to conduct attacks on the fortified areas of the Defence Forces in Zaporizhzhya.

For the fire defeat of Russian armoured vehicles, the Security Service conducted effective operational and combat operations together with the AFU units, - noted in the SBU.

Against enemy tanks used the maximum arsenal of armour-piercing weapons and unmanned systems.

A large number of armoured vehicles of the Russian Federation were hit even at the initial boundaries, before they went out to storm the positions of the AFU. Some of the tanks managed to be destroyed along with their crews.
