Russians and Belarusians allowed to participate in the Olympic Games


Athletes from Russia and Belarus will be able to take part in the Olympic Games-2024 in a neutral status.
This was announced by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) on its official website.
The Committee decided that neutral athletes with Russian or Belarusian passports will be able to participate in the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024. To participate, they must pass a strict selection process and perform without national symbols.
Only a very limited number of athletes will qualify," the IOC said.
Eleven individual neutral athletes have qualified, including 8 Russians and 2 Belarusians.
It is noted that teams and athletes, supporting the war or contracted for military service, national security service of the Russian Federation or Belarus, will not be allowed to compete.
