Olga Kharlan auctioned for charity the sabre that brought her gold at the Olympics

Two-time Olympic champion Olga Kharlan decided to pass on her historic victory for the benefit of the Ukrainian military.
The athlete has put up for charity auction her sabre, which delivered the winning blow in the final of the team fencing tournament at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. With this, the Olympic champion emphasises the importance of supporting the Ukrainian military:
She brought us gold. But if you think that its role is over, you are mistaken. This sabre will still serve our defenders
The auction is organised by the charitable foundation of Sergei Pritula. All collected funds from the sale of the sabre will be directed to the purchase of automated turrets for the Ukrainian army, which will help to increase the defence capability of our defenders.
