Over the past four days, Ukrainian forces have destroyed 200 units of Russian armoured vehicles.
Russian invaders have resumed their offensive in the area of Kupyansk and near Avdiivka, but the Defence Forces repel all enemy attacks. This was reported in the morning bulletin of the AFU General Staff.
According to the military, during the day on the front there were more than 100 military clashes, of which 20 - in the areas of Sinkovka and Ivanovka Kharkiv region in the Kupyansk direction. Another five attacks were repelled near Nadezhda in the Luhansk region. Near Bakhmut, the Ukrainian military repelled all enemy attacks in the areas of Bogdanovka and Khromovoye.
Near Avdeevka, the occupiers unsuccessfully attacked in the areas of Novokalinovoye, Stepnoye and Pervomayskoye in the Donetsk region.
In the south, the Russians tried to recover in the Rabotino area of Zaporizhzhya region, conducted assault operations in the area of Poltavka locality, with no success.
In turn, the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) said that Russian troops regrouped and again launched an offensive in the area of Avdeevka.
In particular, geolocation footage published on 20 October shows that Russian troops have slightly advanced west of Krasnogorovka (5km north of Avdiivka).

This shows that either the Russian forces believe that they can actually take Avdiivka or that the Russian military command does not prioritise offensive operations well and does not take into account significant losses of equipment and personnel," experts point out.
The head of the Avdiivka city military administration, Vitaliy Barabash, said that Russian troops were trying to repair damaged equipment back in the field in order to bring it back into the battle.
We would like to add that Russia's losses in the war in Ukraine as of Saturday morning, 21 October, amounted to 790 occupants, the total number of losses of the Russian army since the beginning of the invasion is 292,850 military.
