Russian State Duma deputies convicted in absentia in Ukraine

According to the SBU, 52 members of the Russian State Duma who "helped" Putin to start a full-scale war in Ukraine have been sentenced to 15 years in prison in absentia.
Fifty-two members of the Russian State Duma who facilitated the launch of a full-scale aggression against Ukraine have received sentences in absentia, the SBU has said. This was reported by the SBU.
on 15 February 2022, the deputies supported a resolution to ask Putin to recognise the "independence" of the temporarily occupied districts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. on 22 February, they voted to ratify a "treaty on friendship, cooperation and mutual assistance" between the Kremlin and the L/DNR terrorist organisations.
Subsequently, the Russian leadership used this decision as a formal basis for launching a full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
Based on the collected evidence, the court found the Russian MPs guilty under Part 3 Article 110 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine) and sentenced them to 15 years of imprisonment in absentia.
In addition, indictments against 23 more Russian MPs have been sent to court.
Since the attackers are on the territory of the aggressor country, complex measures are being continued to bring them to justice.
