Russian "Serpent Gorynych" was spotted in Mariupol

A photo of a self-propelled demining rocket launcher UR-77 "Serpent Gorynych" has been taken in occupied Mariupol. This was reported by the adviser to the mayor of Mariupol Petro Andryushchenko on 11 January.

The equipment was brought from Nikolsky direction and moved to Kalmius district of Mariupol. It is likely that the installation was moved to the repair base on Topolina street.

It is noted that the relocation occurs for the first time for this class of military equipment over the past year.

UR-77 "Meteorit" ("Serpent Gorynych") is a Soviet combat vehicle, self-propelled mine-clearing rocket launcher of 1977 model, created on the basis of self-propelled howitzer 2S1 or "Gvozdika". It has been in serial production since 1978.
