Russia will continue its attacks and offensive - The New York Times

Western weapons helped Ukraine hold off the Russian offensive.
American weapons have not yet been able to stop the Russian Federation's offensive and the enemy still has a fire advantage and will continue attacks on the battlefield. The New York Times writes about this, citing military experts.
Russia has retained a significant advantage in manpower and firepower," said Rob Lee, a senior fellow at the Euro-Asian Programme of the Foreign Policy Research Institute.
According to him, we should expect a further offensive by the Russian aggressors. As Lee notes, the Russians have the strength to attack for most of this year. At the same time, he believes Russia may face a shortage of tanks and armoured vehicles.
In turn, Lieutenant Denis Yaroslavskyy, who fights in the Kharkiv direction, told the publication that thanks to a sufficient amount of artillery ammunition, the AFU has been successful in destroying enemy equipment, including in the Kharkiv region.
Speaking about the enemy's actions on the frontline, both Western and Ukrainian experts pointed to the failed tactics of the Russians, who hoped to stretch the Ukrainian defence forces along the front line with point attacks, weaken them and thus find weaknesses in the defence where they could strike with renewed force and break through.
The Russian strategy of opening a new front north of Kharkiv was aimed at stretching Ukraine's limited forces, weakening the defences in the Donbass and the south of the country. However, the Russian Federation did not benefit from the Kharkiv offensive," the publication said.
According to the AFU General Staff, there were 85 military clashes over the past 24 hours. The hottest situation remains in the Pokrovsky direction. The enemy does not leave attempts to find weaknesses in the defence, continuous assaults are trying to cut into the fighting order of Ukrainian units. Fighting continues in the areas of Novoalexandrovka, Yevgenyevka and Sokol. The defence forces are taking measures to stabilise the situation and prevent the enemy from advancing.
