Russia likely received a ballistic missile from North Korea with a range of 1,200 kilometres

In 2017, the rocket was officially tested: during one of the launches, it flew 500 kilometres and reached an altitude of 550 kilometres.
North Korea may have transferred new medium-range ballistic missiles to the Russian Federation. It is about Pukguksong-2 - a solid-fueled two-stage missile about 9 metres long and 1.5 metres in diameter, which can cover distances from 1,200 to 2,000 km. This is reported by Defence Express.
The other day in the Tyumen region was recorded another echelon of weapons, which may include medium-range ballistic missiles Pukguksong-2 - observers point out.
At least ten self-propelled 170mm M1989 Koksan artillery units can be seen on the footage circulated online, tentatively taken in the Tyumen region. Also seen in the video are five weapons that are probably Pukguksong-2 or Polar Star medium-range ballistic missile launchers. They are known as KN-15 in the US classification.
Per my source this was shot in the Tyumen region. Shows both 10 Koksans and 4 Pukguksong-2 SRBMs. Given that 12 were seen in a prior video this COULD be a separate shipment. pic.twitter.com/LiZJXBENTJ

The publication said that if North Korea did transfer its Pukguksong-2 ballistic missiles to the Russian Federation, such a move could have a purely pragmatic purpose for North Korea to test the effectiveness of its missile systems directly on the battlefield.
This will make it possible to assess their effectiveness, especially given the poor performance of other North Korean weapons that Russia is already using in the war," the organisation explained.

It is noted that the North Koreans conducted several tests of this missile. Some of them were unsuccessful, but during others this missile flew about 500 kilometres and was able to reach a maximum altitude of 550 kilometres.
The Pukguksong-2/KN-15 missile was created under conditions of high secrecy. In open sources one can find information about a range of up to 1200-1300 kilometres, although other reports suggest it could be between 2000 and 3000 kilometres.
