Russia announces suspension of 'grain deal' after Crimean bridge explosions

Putin's spokesman said the arrangements had been terminated and the deal stopped.

These are unrelated events. Even before this attack, the position was stated by Putin. As soon as the Russia-related part of the agreements is fulfilled, Russia will immediately return to the implementation of the deal.

The Russian Foreign Ministry notified Turkey, Ukraine and the UN of its objection to extending the agreement.

Bloomberg reported that wheat futures rose by 4.2% after Russia said that the grain deal ceases to operate from Monday.
