Worked in occupier's detention centre and released prisoners: Collaborator detained in Kherson

Law enforcers detained the man in the liberated city of Kherson in accordance with Article 208, Article 615 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of Ukraine and reported on suspicion.
The prosecutor's office of Kherson Region has reported:
According to the investigation, during the occupation of the city, the suspect collaborated with representatives of the aggressor country and voluntarily occupied the position of the so-called "head of security of the Kherson investigation detention facility" in the pseudo-legal authority created by the occupation authorities, "Department of Correctional Services in Kherson region".
In his position, the suspect gave instructions to the employees of the Kherson detention centre to leave the place of duty. At the same time, on his order, the keys to the cells and offices were left in direct access of the inmates, which led to their mass escape.
The prosecutor's office recalled that under Article 62 of the Ukrainian constitution, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his/her guilt has been legally proven and established by a court verdict of conviction.
The issue of a preventive measure for the suspect is being considered.
