Pyongyang handed over missiles to Putin's forces that threaten Ukrainian cities - Forbes

Since the start of the full-scale war, the North Korean regime has transferred about 100 artillery pieces to Russia.
North Korea has handed over M1991 missile launchers to Russian troops, which can fire at targets up to 60 kilometres away and can fire 22 missiles in 44 seconds. This is reported by Forbes.
Earlier, experts confirmed that M1989 missile systems were transferred from North Korea to Russia. These installations are capable of firing 170-mm projectiles at a range of up to 40 kilometres.
The now transferred M1991 missile system, unlike the previous model, can hit targets at a range of up to 60 kilometres, which poses a serious threat to Ukraine's frontline territories.
Russian forces have suffered significant losses in multiple rocket launchers (MLRS) during the war in Ukraine. During 33 months of fierce fighting, the Russian Armed Forces lost at least 400 systems, so to make up for the lost equipment, the Kremlin requested artillery systems from North Korea," the publication said.
According to analysts, North Korean M1991s are superior to most artillery systems in service with Ukraine. The only exception is the US high-mobility missile systems HIMARS.
The M1991 launchers in service with the Russian forces pose a significant threat to the defensive positions and howitzers of the AFU. Especially dangerous is the fact that with the help of these installations Russia can attack frontline cities, such as Kharkiv, which is only 40 kilometres from the front line," the publication writes.
It is noted that Russian forces regularly use weapons that came from North Korea to shell civilians in Ukraine. In particular, Russian forces have already repeatedly used KN-23 ballistic missiles to hit civilian infrastructure.
According to Military Factory, the M1991 system began to be used by the DPRK troops in the early 1990s to carry out highly mobile operations with strikes against long-range targets, including mass destruction of enemy personnel and equipment.
