Nebenzia blames Ukrainian air defence for civilian casualties at UN Security Council meeting

Nebenzia said it was Ukrainian air defences that caused the missiles to hit residential buildings and where Russia was not aiming.

Russia's permanent representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, at a Security Council meeting, spewed another batch of Russian nonsense. After another massive missile strike on Ukrainian territory, he blamed civilian casualties and damage to infrastructure on the Ukrainian air defence system. According to him, Ukraine places SAMs among residential buildings. As a result, debris from missiles or Ukrainian missiles that went off course hit objects that Russia did not aim at.

He also said that the missiles that hit residential buildings in Kiev and Vyshgorod on Wednesday were allegedly "US air defence missiles supplied to Kiev".

Straight talk:

Your mindless pumping of weapons into Ukraine is already killing civilians not only in Donbass but also in Ukrainian cities.

Ukraine's representative to the UN, Sergey Kyslytsya, has already commented on these statements on Twitter:

Listening to a p*tler's envoy to the UN Security Council like today is one of my worst duties. Even knowing that his place in hell is eternal, today's terrorist attack by a p*tler on Ukraine leaves me no diplomatic options. There will be "weeping and gnashing of teeth" in hell, but no repentance.

Kislitsa also illustrated his comment with an eloquent photo.
