The police arrested the man who planned the attack

The attacker turned out to be a resident of Dnipro, born in 1966. He wanted to sow chaos and panic in Zaporozhye and planned a crime at a crowded facility in the city center, the report says.

The man himself made an explosive device and disguised it as a crutch.

He built a squib, an explosive into its cavity, and to enhance the effect of the defeat, he stuffed the explosive with elements of a damaging effect: nails and bolts, the department said.
