Almost half of Polish residents believe that the country should reduce or completely stop military aid to Ukraine.

Although the Polish government said a year ago that it could no longer supply weapons to Kiev, the results of a new sociological survey commissioned by the Stand With Ukraine Foundation and the Defence24 portal show growing scepticism in society.

The authors of the survey note that Poles continue to express solidarity with Ukraine, but this support is not unconditional. More than half of respondents (52%) approve of Ukraine's diplomatic support in the international arena, while 29% oppose it.

At the same time, 46% of respondents believe that military assistance should be reduced or completely suspended. Only 35% of respondents are ready to continue economic support, while 44% are against it. The main reasons for dissatisfaction are concerns about the disarmament of the Polish army and the lack of transparency in the distribution of aid.

Also the majority of Poles are not ready for the participation of their military in Ukraine, even within the framework of possible peacekeeping missions. Only 15% of respondents support such an idea, while 64% are strongly against it.

Nevertheless, 44% of respondents believe that support for Ukraine has a positive impact on Poland's own security. At the same time, 37% hold the opposite view.
