Pensioners-IDP who moved to mountainous regions will be able to apply for an allowance
Pensioners who move to a place of residence in mountainous regions can receive a 20% pension supplement.
The law provides such allowances are supplied by the law “On the status of mountainous settlements in Ukraine.”
To obtain the status of a citizen residing and working in the territory of a mountain settlement, you must contact:
- executive bodies of rural, settlement, and city councils;
- centers for the provision of administrative services.
The certificate is issued free of charge within 30 calendar days.
The legislation does not provide grounds for refusing to issue a "mining" certificate. However, this decision can only be appealed in court if you are still denied.
According to the law “On the status of mountainous settlements in Ukraine,” all state payments and scholarships, tariff rates, and official salaries for those working and living in the area, which has been granted mountain status, are increased by 20%.
