There is no place in Paris for new settlers.

Paris will stop accepting Ukrainian refugees, as the French capital cannot provide them with housing. This was announced on the air of the telethon by the Consul of Ukraine in France, Serhiy Yesaulov, writes Evropeyska Pravda .

People should be aware that upon arrival they will be directed to areas where accommodation is available, hotels, campsites, etc. Many French volunteered to host Ukrainians in their families. The main problem, the French constantly emphasize to us, is that many Ukrainian refugees want to stay in Paris, but it is no longer possible to receive them there, so the request is for Ukrainians to move to the regions,” Esaulov said.

he also noted that one should not be afraid to go to the regions and there are more opportunities and better conditions than in Paris.

The consul added that immediately upon arrival, Ukrainians fall under the control of local associations, which, together with the prefectures, determine where they can be accommodated.

Therefore, you do not need to invent something yourself and look for places to settle on the sites. This process already happens automatically, and this avoids unfavorable abuses, he said.

Refugees, upon arrival in France, must apply to the prefecture of the department in their place of residence. There they will be able to obtain a residence permit for 6 months.

After that, you need to get a referral to the Bureau of Immigration and Integration (OFII), and then you can get payments, work permits, access to medical and educational services, support in finding housing.
