From 30,000 to a million: Veterans will be given money for business and training


Several new employment programmes for veterans, including people with war-related disabilities, will soon be launched.
This was announced by Economics Minister Tetyana Berezhnaya during the forum Praktika.
As early as in April we will launch new directions - grants for own business for second spouse of veterans up to UAH 500 thousand and grants up to UAH 1 million for group of veterans. According to our estimates, 170 thousand veterans will want to do business," Tetyana Berezhnaya said.
She said that veterans who want to get a new, more in-demand specialty will be able to be retrained at public expense or to get a grant for such training.
Also a new grant program "Start in IT" will be launched in April, where you can get a grant up to 30 thousand UAH for training in information technology.
Another area they are working on now, which will help with employment of veterans, is to simplify access to the security market, which will allow former military personnel to implement themselves in this field.
