Defence Minister Rustem Umerov said he had ordered a probe into the deaths of defenders from the 128th Brigade.
During a missile strike on the Ukrainian military in Zaporizhzhya region on 3 November, the commander of the artillery platoon of the 128th brigade, Captain Dmytro Milyutin "Taxi Driver", was killed. This was reported in Vynohradivskyi city Council.
It is known that he was one of the best in his field and one of the most motivated artillerymen of the country.
Dmitry Milyutin was born in the town of Vinogradov in the Transcarpathian region. In 2014, he went to volunteer in the ATO. He participated in the battles for Debaltsevo. In 2015, he was awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.
He was an active public figure, a member of the executive committee of the city council, chairman of the NGO Veterans of combat operations of Vinogradivsky district.
After the beginning of the full-scale war he went to the front again and served as an artillery platoon commander. on 3 November 2023 he was killed by a Russian missile in the village of Zarechnoye, Zaporozhye region. Dmytro was 43 years old.

Meanwhile, Transcarpathian Region has declared three days of mourning due to the mass deaths of soldiers of the 128th brigade, who were hit by Russia during a festive awarding ceremony. Thus, on November 6, a three-day all-oblast mourning was announced in Transcarpathia, state flags will be lowered, every morning at 9:00 will honour the memory of the soldiers with a minute of silence, in churches of different denominations of the region will be held services.
It is known that the Minister of Defence has ordered an inspection into the deaths of the defenders from the 128th Brigade.
the 128th OGSHBr is officially part of the operational command West. The headquarters of the brigade is located in Mukachevo, and the units are deployed on the territory of the Transcarpathian region. Since 2014, the brigade has been involved in combat operations in eastern Ukraine. Many of the brigade's servicemen are natives of Transcarpathia.
