People from other settlements, Russia, were brought to the celebration of the city.

In Mariupol, the occupation authorities organized a celebration of the city, while announcing the opening of a new theatrical season in the drama theater, in which, according to various estimates, from 300 to 600 people died due to Russian bombing.

According to the adviser to the mayor of the city, Pyotr Andryushchenko, the invaders distributed an invitation to the opening of the theater to their supporters and Russians, and fenced off the rest.

At the same time, he noted that the local population was small.

Also during the "celebration" the invaders stretched the St. George canvas in the city center.

Recall that Russia occupied Mariupol from the first days of the invasion of Ukraine. The invaders brutally bombarded the city. Thousands of people are considered killed and missing. A particularly bloody act was the bombing of the drama theater in the city center. At that time, mostly women and children took refuge in the building. According to various estimates, there were from 300 to 600 people there. The fact that there were children inside was warned by an inscription near the building. However, the Russians, knowing that there could be people there, dropped shells on the theater. People died.

The remains of the dead remained in the theater. The occupation authorities ordered the builders, whom they brought to restore the theater, to cover the bodies with bleach and concrete. Now the invaders arrange concerts on the bones of the dead.
