Exports will raise additional funds for infrastructure rehabilitation.

This was stated by Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko on the air of Yedyniye Novosti.

According to Halushchenko, the volume of electricity exports will now be higher than it was last year. That said, the Ukrainian infrastructure has not been fully restored yet.

Now we hope to reach the volume of exports that was last year. We plan to and will negotiate to increase them, because the reserve in the system today allows us to do so.

Obviously, at the same time, the priority is still to meet the domestic demand for electricity. So, if the energy situation changes and domestic demand grows, exports may be stopped.

Profits from electricity exports would raise additional financial resources to rebuild energy facilities that have been destroyed or damaged by Russian attacks. However, these funds will not be sufficient.
