NBU issues commemorative medal "Kyiv region. Cities of heroes: Bucha, Gostomel, Irpen"


Commemorative medal "Kyiv region. Cities of heroes: Bucha, Gostomel, Irpen" is made of nickel silver, edition up to 100 000 pcs.
The National Bank of Ukraine has issued a commemorative medal "Kyiv region. Cities of heroes: Bucha, Gostomel, Irpen". It is dedicated to the fortitude, endurance and heroism of the region's residents, the press service of the NBU said
The authors of the idea, expect that the medal will be another reminder of what in fact is the "Russian world", as well as one more indication of the firmness, the strength of the Ukrainian people and the will to victory
On the obverse of the medal - stylized composition, formed of the maps of the cities of Kyiv region: Gostomel, Bucha, Irpen. Together they resemble the shape of a heart. On top of the composition - enemy paratrooper with a shot parachute and the legendary plane Mriya. At the bottom - the symbol of rebirth in the form of a flower
The obverse composition is complemented with images symbolising both physical and moral injuries inflicted by the occupants
The reverse of the medal depicts a girl on a swing - during the "flight". Her hair ribbon is torn, symbolising life interrupted. At the bottom are the imprints of the enemy's dirty boots, trampling the life that had just begun

Commemorative medal "Kyiv region. Cities of Heroes: Bucha, Gostomel, Irpen" is made of nesilber (copper, nickel and zinc alloy), up to 100,000 copies, including up to 50,000 copies in 2022
