The US remains Ukraine's ally in the confrontation with Russian Federation.

The US President's National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan has confirmed a meeting between Joe Biden and Uladzimir Zelenski at the White House. According to him, it is scheduled for next Thursday, 21 September. He said this at a briefing at the White House.

The meeting will take place after participation in the events of the high-level week of the UN General Assembly, - he specified.

Sullivan indicated that this will be their third meeting at the White House.

It will take place at a critical time when Russia is desperately seeking help from countries like North Korea for its brutal war in Ukraine and Ukrainian forces are conducting a counteroffensive," the adviser said.

As Sullivan pointed out, Biden, during his meeting with Zelensky, wants to hear his views on the development of Ukraine's offensive, learn his understanding of the current situation, and ask what other assistance Ukraine would like to receive from the United States and its partners.

Sullivan added that the US president will also take part in the annual series of speeches by world leaders at the UN General Assembly in the same days, and will meet there with the leaders of several states, particularly Israel and Brazil, and will hold a separate meeting with the presidents of the five Central Asian republics - Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. He is also scheduled to meet with UN Secretary General António Guterres.
