The cause of death of Belarus' foreign minister has been named

The last years of the minister's life were accompanied by "both political and personal dramas".
Former Belarusian Foreign Minister Uladzimir Makei committed suicide. It should be reminded that the politician's death became known in November last year. No details about the incident were reported then.
Now, Belarusian opposition newspaper"Nasha Niva," citing four independent sources in the field of medicine and government, reports that he took his own life.
The report says that the politician had been experiencing both personal dramas and political pressure in recent years. However, it's not reported what exactly made Makei pass away for "ethical reasons.
The politician's body was found by the eldest son of his wife. Makei, before committing suicide, left his family in one of his flats and drove to Drozdny, where the family also had a house, where he was found.
Makei's friends, on the other hand, say he was painfully aware of the collapse of the course he was on and often felt unwanted and sometimes simply irrelevant," the paper writes.
He also felt that he was no longer "nice" to Lukashenko and knew that he was looking for a replacement.
He understood that the former high position was coming to an end, and he could not see himself anywhere else after his heights," said one of the interlocutors.
The publication also quoted Makey as saying that journalists linked him to the war in Ukraine.
I do not remember who said it, but if you are going to be executed, it is better to be executed for loyalty than for treason
