During the year, more than 67,000 people were evacuated from the de-occupied settlements in Kharkiv and Kherson regions.
This was reported in the Ministry of Reintegration.
Evacuation from the de-occupied territories of Kharkiv and Kherson regions started in autumn 2022. Since then, more than 67,000 Ukrainians have left for safe regions.
In particular, more than 27 thousand citizens have already evacuated from the liberated territories of Kharkiv region since September last year. From the DOT (de-occupied territories - ed.) of Kherson region since November 2022, more than 40 thousand citizens have left for safe regions. Among them - more than 5 thousand children and more than 350 persons with low mobility, - reported in the Ministry.
It is noted that people are evacuated by trains and buses. In safe regions, citizens are provided with free accommodation and financial, humanitarian, legal and psychological assistance.
