Ministry of Finance: The average salary of doctors in the first half of the year increased by 1.5 times

The average salary of doctors was UAH 21,000, and that of paramedical personnel was about UAH 15,000. (34% more than in 2021). This was reported in the press service of the Ministry of Finance, citing data from the National Health Service.

The highest average salary in institutions of emergency medical care: doctors - UAH 27,000, nurses - UAH 20,000, the report says.

The volume of health care expenditures for 2022 for the general and special fund totals UAH 228.6 billion (4.9% of GDP) for the consolidated budget.

Medicine remains one of the main priorities of state policy, especially under martial law. We are doing everything possible to ensure that medical institutions are financed uninterruptedly during the war. Thus, in July, the government received a $1.7 billion grant from the US government through the World Bank Trust Fund mechanism, which is aimed at covering the costs of the state budget general fund to pay for medical services under the medical guarantee program.
