Study: Believers enjoy sex more than atheists

More religious married women reported higher sexual satisfaction than their less religious peers. At the same time, married men did not show a similar relationship. Unmarried but religious men reported higher satisfaction with sex than their less religious peers, the article reported.

Scientists believe that the connection between religiosity and pleasure in sex is because believers are less likely to have casual sex and more likely to limit themselves in their sex life, so their expectations from sex are lower and their satisfaction is higher.

A large number of sexual partners in women is associated with low satisfaction from sex. At the same time, such a relationship was not found in men, the researchers reported.

Scientists have also established a link between the level of education and the frequency of sex. People with higher education have less sex and are less likely to be satisfied with its quality.
